About

ML and full-stack engineer focused on shipping production-grade AI, web, and data systems, fast, and built to last.

I’m Gabriele Matini, a Machine Learning and full-stack engineer. I like turning hard, ambiguous problems into systems that actually ship, with a bias toward building robust and shipping fast. Whether it’s an AI feature, a web product, or the data and infrastructure underneath, I care about the same thing: software that holds up after launch, not just in a demo.

Most of my work lives at the intersection of AI and product engineering. I built and maintained the RAG and ingestion systems at Sensay.io, including a custom PDF chunking engine, and shipped features and support across their AI stack. For xNovo AI I created Vantiq, an agentic SEO-automation tool that clusters brand data, generates AI insights and seasonality forecasts, and performs semantic brand expansion. I also build and sell my own software, like GrassHopper, an agentic pipeline that streamlines job search and applications.

My day-to-day spans models and agentic workflows, web products and APIs, and the data and cloud foundations that keep everything reliable as complexity grows. I studied at Sapienza University of Rome, and I’m comfortable moving across the whole stack, from research-grade ML to deployment, observability, and DevOps. When I’m away from the keyboard you’ll usually find me making pancakes, swimming, or training my dog.

If you’re working on something ambitious and want an engineer who can frame the real problem, ship a useful version quickly, and then harden what matters, let’s connect.
